What are roles and their permissions in KNiTO Studio?

KNiTO Studio supports 4 roles: Owner, Author, Editor, Production Manager. You can see roles of different people in a book by going to Book Setting and scroll down to Roles and click on it.

In this page you can see roles of contributors to a book, by clicking the Roles button. The roles are assigned through invitations that a book owner sends to other registered users in order to get their assistance and contributions. See the section on Inviting People to Edit for more information about invitations. Here are the roles that you can set for a "Registered User" and associated permission. First of all, you must be the OWNER of a book to be able to set other roles. You are an owner, if you have created a book. The default role for a registered user is just that. Being a registered user but no role in your books. You can of course use invite codes, or the INVITE button in the dashboard to invite a registered user and give him/her a role. However, you can select to give any of the following roles as a default to any registered user.

• Author: A writer or an author is a person who uses written words and images in various techniques to communicate their ideas and produce various forms of scientific, literary, and creative writings.
• Editor: An editor is a person who corrects, condensates, organizes, and does many other modifications performed with an intention of producing a correct, consistent, accurate and complete work.
• Production Manager: This person is in charge of exporting and publishing books from Studio to Book store.
