At this stage, for reflowable books we recommend using audio, which can be added through interactive studio. In some browsers, the audio will autoplay as soon as a chapter has started. If you have a fixed-layout book we suggest that you create the audio, using InDesign’s overlay feature.
We do not recommend Text to Speech (TTS) due to its artificial sound quality but if a publisher has access to a good quality product, we are willing to examine its activation within our book reader products. We are TTS ready.
KNiTO is Media Overlay or Readaloud ready as well, and if a book has media overly we will simply enable it in our KNiTO readers and it works. If you are experimenting with different sound processing software, we suggest that you also take look at CircularFLOã at https://www.circularflo.com from Circular Software. We have found their product very interesting but have only used it in a demo version. Therefore, cannot say that it is perfect for you.
