When you want to embed an asset probably with links to outside resources, first locate your cursor where you want the asset to appear in the text, and then click the Insert iframe icon in the editing toolbar.
An insert iframe window will appear, where you can input your iframe code from wherever your asset is. The iframe code could be a Vimeo or YouTube video or an interactive asset that you have built using KNiTO’s interactive builder.
At the bottom of the window and by the down arrow, you have three options for inserting the iframe.
Inline means, the asset will be placed right where your cursor is.
Modal gives you the option of not displaying the asset in the book and instead showing an icon. This is useful if you predict lower bandwidths for your readers, or when you wish to give viewing of the asset as an option to the reader.
The inline button in the display makes it possible to plant the icon right at the middle of your text.
The Placeholder option lets you put the asset in the book but it only shows its placeholder and not the content until you publish the book. This is good for when you need to do a very precise layout and mix of text and pictures.
